Who doesn’t desire more joy in their life?  We live in a fallen world and all fall short. But our God in heaven reigns!🙌🏻 He is perfect and shares heavens glories in his hands. Oh the beautiful joy of the spirit.

Joy is a gift from God. The Lord wants to make our joy complete (John 16:24). For that to be possible, we must submit to him (James 4:7). That means giving him our whole heart and trusting in him, loving him for who he is, dwelling in him.

10 Ways to Choose Joy

1) Have a thankful heart

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 107:1

2) Grow in faith

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. 2 Peter 3:18

3) Be obedient to God

Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always. Deuteronomy 11:1

4) Pray in the Spirit

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  Ephesians 6:18

5) Give him praise

For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise.. 1 Chronicles 16:25

6) Study his Word

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.  Hebrews 4:12

7) Worship him

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. Psalm 29:2

8) Community/Fellowship

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

9) Focus on the things of God

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

10) Rest

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

Our cup can wondrously overflow when we are in his presence. Let’s delight ourselves in him, believing wholeheartedly in his promises.. May we draw closer to him and be filled with joy beyond measure!

Glorious Father of heaven and earth💛  Thank you for all things! We are so grateful that you bless us with true joy.  Please pour your grace into our hearts. May your grace help us to see things through your eyes. I pray for complete joy over your son’s and daughters. We love you Lord, you are our greatest joy! In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.❤️

Enclosed is a song titled “What Joy”.  Singing in worship is my husbands cousin. This pierced my heart many years ago and to this day, it still does. I pray it does the same for your heart.

🎶 What joy.. What joy for those whose hope is in the name of the Lord. 🎶
